Overview

The Pan-Canadian Trust Framework™ (PCTF) is a risk mitigation framework comprised of a set of rules, standards, specifications, regulations, and guidance that offers a high-quality and versatile defined code of practice for operating trustworthy and efficient digital identity, credential, and supporting services.

Following recommendations from the federal government’s Task Force for the Payments System Review, leaders from Canada’s public and private sectors established the DIACC in 2012 to develop a trust framework to meet needs in the digital economy.

DIACC is committed to openness, impartiality, legitimacy, and inclusivity, providing the PCTF as a tool that offers practical definitions of outcomes to verify solutions and de-risk adoption.
